Description

About Vouch: Insurance... sounds slow, old-fashioned, and unexciting. Exactly. Insurance is broken, and it's failing fast-moving, innovative startups. Vouch is a new, technology-first insurance company backed with $185M in funding from world-class investors. Like Stripe for payments or Brex for credit cards, Vouch is creating the go-to business insurance for high-growth companies. We're doing this by making insurance fast, responsive, and focused on our high-growth and innovative customers. Instead of printed PDF applications and week-long waits, Vouch is building new technology to solve real problems, writing policies that actually cover relevant startup scenarios, and designing simple experiences in an otherwise frustrating industry. What does a work environment look like at Vouch? Vouch is a Virtual First Workplace with offices in San Francisco, Chicago, and New York City. This role can be based anywhere in the U.S. as long as you can work our Vouch core collaboration hours (8:30 am-2:30 pm Pacific Time) when most internal meetings are held. Role Responsibilities: Vouch’s Platform is the engine behind our success. Our technology enables us to innovate in insurance design rapidly and helps our customers get insurance in minutes. This underlying platform enables core capabilities for configuring new insurance products, generating insurance quotes, and managing data throughout the insurance workflow that will serve all of Vouch’s future products and clients. As the Insurance Solutions Architect, you’ll work closely with Underwriters, Actuaries, Claims, and Insurance Product Development to define the future of insurance technology. Job Duties: Own and deliver the platform and tools that help our Insurance teams launch new products and manage underwriting efficiency & results. Gain in-depth understanding of insurance systems. Build a differentiated product by identifying key problems, opportunities for innovation, and the needs of stakeholders and studying the competition. Transform underwriting and actuarial requirements into technology solutions. Make data-driven product decisions based on both metrics and qualitative feedback to prioritize and deliver the roadmap. Communicate progress, value, and blockers to the wider business. Champion the rollout/adoption and change management to the end user community. Identify key AI opportunities that can be leveraged to enhance the functionality, efficiency, and innovation of our platform. About you: 7+ years of software product development experience. Deep understanding of the commercial property & casualty insurance business. Strong background in building B2B applications, preferably in insurance software. Enthusiasm for working in a startup environment where the job to be done can change month to month. A solid technical understanding of how the systems your engineering partners build work. Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences. Strong analytical skills (SQL preferred) for analyzing user behavior and measuring impact. Vouch provides several benefits to help you bring your best self to work: Competitive compensation and equity packages. Health, dental, and vision insurance. Parental leave.
